Mission to Haiti
Fred left on Jan 14. Arrived in Haiti on Jan 18. We are not sure how long he will be there but this is what he says about the mission:
"Yesterday [Jan 20] I flew for 11 hours, transported 39 people around and 3650lbs of cargo (2500 was food and water). One of the people was a medevac to the USNS Comfort. This article: www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=50656 is about how that person got on the ship.
It made me feel good that we are there reuniting people with their families and bringing the wounded to get care and dropping off supplies to people with huge smiles on their faces when they get them. I know it is hard [to be seperated], but we are doing good work down here and it is definitely the most rewarding flying I have ever done."
