Charleston Christmas
Our First Christmas Together 2008 Norfolk- Kitty Hawk-Fayetteville-Isle of Palms-Charleston-Norfolk

Friday, Dec 19- We dropped Bo off at Camp Care Alot- Doggie daycare and left town around 1:30. We drove to Kitty Hawk, NC to see the Wrights Brothers Memorial. The memorial is in the background. We stayed at a Days Inn for $39- I guess because it is the off season. The hotel had a coupon to Jolly Rogers for buy-one-get-one free entree, half price bottle of wine and half price appetizer. We had an amazing dinner there.
Saturday, Dec 20- We drove from Nags Head/Roankoe Island, NC to Isle of Palms, SC. We stopped in Fayetteville, NC to visit with Fred's cousin Kelli.
The map shows the path we went on Monday in black and the path we went on Wednesday in red.

The food wasn't so good- in fact Fred hated his pizza. But the play was GREAT! Afterwards we stopped to get groceries at Piggly Wiggly. Fred made us dinner that night. :)
Monday- December 22
We drove into Charleston again on Monday. First we went to the Frontside Park, and Fred got really cold because he didn't have his cap. So we walked to Market Street and checked out the market. We found some hats for $5 each. I bought a ornament and some souveniers. We had to move our car, so we parked in a parking garage on Church and Cumberland. Then walked to East Bay St to check out the restaurants. We got stopped by Bluegreen Resorts-for about two hours- they tried to sell us something but they gave us $50 to Magnolias and 2 tickets to the SC Aquarium. After we went to Magnolias- then we had to find an ATM so we could pay the parking garage. We went all the way to Wachovia on East Bay and Broad. Unfortunately the ATM was not working. Then we walked down Meeting to Cumberland- there was a convience store there Lil Cricket. Unfortunately, the ATM inside was out of cash. So we walked to Market St and finally found the ATM in a teashop. We took a picture outside of the shop to remember the good times. LOL

We opened presents and then went for a walk on the beach. We found seashells and took a few home.
